These beeps are for the 'CATCH TRIALS'. They give an indication of the patients reliability. For a full explanation see Chapter 8 of the Henson Pro manual or Dr Henson's Visual Fields lecture in 'The Optician' July30 1998 No. 5712 Vol 218 p. 20.
It is possible to turn the 'beeps' off in the OPTIONS programme (see question above) but this is not recommended.

In some cases, Yes. There is an upgrade available for the henson Pro 5000 to incorporate patient response timing, see the Upgrade section.
Why does the Date on my Henson 3200 keep resetting ?
There are 2 reasons for this:-
1. There is a battery that keeps the date information when the unit is switched off. This battery may be dead or discharged.
Look at the boot up screens for the computer type. If the machine is based on a 386 processor, try leaving the unit on for 12 hours to recharge the battery. If it is a 486 machine hen the battery is a lithium cell type and will need to be changed. Send us a technical enquiry with the serial number of the instrument and mention its a battery replacement.
2. There may be a millennium problem with the motherboard, you can check and download software here.
