CMOS SETTINGS FOR TYPE 1

From this main setup screen, follow this sequence

Select Auto detect Hard Disk, and press <enter>.

At the top of the screen, the listing will be:-

HARD DISK DRICE C:  Type 47 ........ or NOT DETECTED

Accept the parameters for Drive C: (press Y and then enter)

Do the same for Drive D:

At the main menu again, select STANDARD SETUP and press <enter> twice

At the top of the screen will be the date and time, if these are incorrect do not worry.

If the Hard disk drive C: was a type 47 then Move down to Floppy disk drive A: and using the PAGE UP key to scroll through the options, select 1.44Mb 3.5".

If the HARD DISK DRIVE C: was Not detected then Move down to Floppy disk drive B: and using the PAGE UP key to scroll through the options, select 1.44Mb 3.5".

press <escape> (top left of keyboard)

Move down to ADVANCED SETUP and press <enter> twice. You will be presented with either 2 or 4 columns (if there is only 1 then press F2 ) The top of the first column will be "Typematic rate......" and the top of the second column will be either ENABLED/DISABLED or a number. Using the arrow keys and PAGE UP button, change every occurence of ENABLED to DISABLED.

Once all are changed, press <escape> to return to the main menu.

Select WRITE TO CMOS AND EXIT from the list and press <enter>

Press Y at the "save settings and exit" prompt and press <enter>
