CMOS SETTINGS FOR TYPE 3

This CMOS main menu resembles a windows screen.

Press the TAB key (above CAPS LOCK) to highlight the UTILITY window. The detect master (or AUTO IDE DETECTION) will be highlighted. Press <enter>

The screen will prompt you to Accept the parameters, Press Y and <enter>

Press TAB again to move back to the SETUP window. Select PERIPHERAL SETUP and press <enter>.

Set the programming mode to MANUAL ( highlight AUTO, press <enter> select manual from the list and press <enter>)

Set the ONBOARD FDC to ENABLED

Set the SERIAL port 1 to COM 1/3f8

set the SERIAL Port 2 to COM 2/2f8

set the PARALLEL Port to DISABLED

Press ESCAPE to return to the main menu.

Press ESCAPE and select SAVE SETTINGS AND EXIT. Press <enter>

This will re-start the machine with the correct settings.
